Library summer feed program providing hot meals to children
LOUISA- The Lawrence County Public Library is providing free hot meals to children ages 18 and under as part of the library’s annual Summer Feeding Program.
Lunch is catered by Dee’s Drive Inn in Louisa and served Monday – Friday at the library from noon until 1:30 p.m.
The LCPL is currently the only library in the state of Kentucky to sponsor a summer feed program without a partnership from a local organization.
In summer 2017 the library served nearly 2,500 meals to children.
Summer Feeding began May 23 and will run until August 3.
No registration required.
Feeding will not be available on July 4 or weekends.
Menus are available at: http://lcplky.org/2018-summer-feed/.
The program runs in conjunction with the library’s annual Summer Reading Program which provides free programming to all ages.

The Summer Food Service Program is administered by the Kentucky Department of Education.
