Lawrence County FRC announces 7th annual Event for Child Abuse Prevention
Louisa- Lawrence County Family Resource Centers (LCFRC) are announcing their 7th Annual Event for Child Abuse Prevention Friday, April 26th from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the Lawrence County Community Center, 205 Bulldog Ln, Louisa, KY 41230.
This is a program that brings together families and community partners to educate and promote awareness of child abuse prevention. The event reaches over 400 people in Lawrence County each year, with an average of 250 children and 150 parents.
A proclamation, declaring April as Child Abuse Prevention Month in Lawrence County, will be signed by Judge Carter. The date is not yet confirmed.
The next planning meeting will be Tues., Feb. 26th from 11:30 am until 1:00 pm at Toro Loco.

LCFRC would like for each community partner to bring 2-3 door prizes that would promote family togetherness. These might include restaurant gift cards, gas cards, movie passes, board games, DVD’s and any other prize that would help promote positive family interactions.
This year, the theme is “Superheroes”.
The resource centers are ordering t-shirts that will have an approximate cost of $15. If you are interested in purchasing a shirt, contact Brenda Curry via email or bring cash on Feb. 26th to the planning meeting.
